Charity

Charitable Spotlight

The Team at FB&L strongly believes in supporting the community.

Our team members are encouraged to volunteer their unique talents with local nonprofit organizations.  We support this effort by allowing our team members paid time off during business hours to volunteer with these agencies.

We were involved in fund raising for the American Cancer Society and were at the annual Relay for Life held at Davis Middle School in San Jose on May 14 and 15, 2007.  We will also participate in the 2008 Relay for Life which will also be held on May 31st and June 1st.

Come and join us and help support the American Cancer Society with a cash contribution.  We will have a site set up with food, fun and fellowship.

The charity we are spotlighting this year is:   The American Cancer Society.

2008 Relay for Life - Quick Facts

Quote for September 2008

We are all inventors, each sailing out on a voyage of discovery, guided each by a private chart, of which there is no duplicate. The world is all gates, all opportunities.

Team Note: Time Sheets
It has come to our attention recently that many in the tax department have been turning in time sheets that specify large amounts of Miscellaneous Unproductive Time. To our department, unproductive time is not a problem.

What is a problem, however, is not knowing exactly what you are doing with your unproductive time. The newly installed Activity Based Costing Financial System requires additional information to achieve its goals. Attached below is a sheet specifying a tentative extended job code list based on our observations of employee activities.
