Taxation Services

Taxation Services

They say death and taxes are the only two things we can count on in life. Neither subject is enjoyable to discuss or deal with. Let us take care of the tax portion (see Estate Planning for the other subject). FB&L will work with you to make sure you only pay what is required, and to keep you on track for filing the tax forms in a timely manner.

You may also efile your tax returns for both federal and state purposes.

Audit Representation

Audit Representation

It is impossible to think you will never be audited. Opening your mail one day, you may discover the dreaded white envelope demanding an audit of your tax return. Whether the envelope comes from the IRS or FTB, we will represent you and preserve your rights as a taxpayer.

Your focus should be your life, let our team focus on your audit.

Offers In Compromise

Offers In Compromise

An Offer in Compromise may be the solution to your tax problems. You may be able to pay only a fraction of the original amount owed to the Internal Revenue Service if an experienced professional prepares your offer; the national average is $0.13 on the dollar. Let us take advantage of recent changes in the tax code to attempt to reduce your total liability to a fraction of the original debt.

The Internal Revenue Service suggests Offers in Compromise for individuals who are not able to pay the full amount owed, those who do not believe that they owe the debt, or those we should let out of debt for equitable reasons.

When your offer is accepted, the Internal Revenue Service will ask you to pay the reduced amount suggested in your offer. After you have paid the offered amount, the Internal Revenue Service will likely release any liens against you on your property.

The Internal Revenue Service will look at your income potential, your age, health, education, profession and present income to determine whether any Offer in Compromise is right for you.
